Some moments are more than just portraits — they’re bridges between generations, stories that cross oceans and always return to the place where the heart never stopped belonging. In this family photo session, Jacinta’s godmother and her family returned to their native island, São Jorge, bringing with them the memory of the 1980s, when they emigrated to America, and a new generation of children and grandchildren who now share the same pride and deep-rooted connection to this land.

Lúcia and António, the pillars of this large and loving family, stood surrounded by their ten children — now grown, many with children of their own — all gathered in a setting that blended the peacefulness of Sete Fontes with the warmth of a long-awaited reunion. The session unfolded in an atmosphere of calm, laughter, and shared memories, and ended with a homemade picnic prepared by Jacinta herself, adding an even more personal and heartfelt touch to the day.

Each photograph is a tribute to the bond that ties this family to their island, showing that no matter how many years or miles have passed, São Jorge remains their true home. By sharing these images, we hope to inspire other families to celebrate their own stories, to embrace simple moments, and to cherish what truly matters.

And if you’re looking for someone to turn your family’s memories into images that tell your story — I’d love to help. Get in touch, and let’s create something as special as this reunion.
