Being the only turdídeos breeding on the islands, the
Blackbirds are black, the Azores, free to take a
large number of niches. They are on all islands
in most habitats from forests, pastures, gardens
in urban areas, or everywhere since the area
to coastal vegetation at high altitude. It is common
find them in fields and stone walls and are
particularly numerous in the early morning or before
dusk.
Blackbirds, black Azores belong to endemic race
azorensis site and are more black and a little more
small that the race named the continent. So
like many other isolated populations, the number of
albino aberrant individuals is a bit high. This
feature is obvious in these extra-where black birds
white feathers become very visible.
